I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hosteria Suiza. The location was an absolute gem, nestled right by the charming lagoon and towering sand dunes. The pool area was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring, and the staff were incredibly friendly, offering helpful recommendations for local activities.

Some areas need updates.

Sound insulation was nearly non-existent. I felt like the kids playing in the halls were right in my room. The TV’s position was awkward, making it impossible to watch from bed comfortably. Showering was another hassle due to frustratingly low water pressure and unexpected temperature swings between icy cold and burning hot, likely because of a poorly calibrated solar heating system. Breakfast was disappointing with items missing by 8 a.m., and there were issues with cleanliness, like flies on uncovered food items. The overall ambiance gave off more of a two-star vibe rather than the three-star quality expected for the price.

The location of Hosteria Suiza is fantastic, right at the end of a U-shaped pathway around the oasis, offering a great view over the pool side of the dunes. This setting was peaceful despite the nearby music at night. I really appreciated the nice pool area. it provided a lovely atmosphere to relax after a long day of exploring. Rooms were decent, and I felt they made good recommendations for tours and activities, adding value to my stay. However, there were significant downsides. The bathroom facilities showed signs of neglect. for instance, the shower had low water pressure and fluctuated between cold and hot water. The breakfast service was quite disappointing too. Items disappeared quickly from the buffet, and the staff didn't seem to replenish them, which was frustrating. Also, flies were noticeable on food items, which made the dining experience unappealing. For the price point, the experience didn't quite meet expectations, and the hotel overall felt outdated. Improvements in cleanliness and service quality could enhance the stay, especially regarding the breakfast provision.

The pool view was nice, but I had a leaking shower all night.

The stay was enjoyable, especially with the kids splashing around the pool. We loved the spacious family room, which fit us perfectly, and getting to relax in the garden area was a great bonus after a long day exploring Ica.

In my wife’s opinion, the area could use better dining options.

I was impressed by how the receptionist helped me find a different room when mine wasn’t available. She even moved my luggage for me with a smile. The outdoor pool and garden area were perfect for relaxing after a long day. The only minor downside was the WiFi being spotty in my room, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all! 😊

Good location, but needs work!

The spot was perfect for exploring the area, but we had a real struggle with the shower—couldn’t keep a steady temp, it went from ice cold to scalding. The pool was a nice chill place to hang out though, and they had this cool bar area where we could grab a drink. Breakfast options were super limited too, ended up skipping it some days.

The location was ideal, allowing easy access to both quiet and lively areas. I appreciated the AC in the room. it worked efficiently during my stay. The pool view from the room was a definite highlight, providing a lovely atmosphere to unwind.
